Review of Drunk Elephant Hair & Body Products

I was so excited when I received my mini hair/body package from Drunk Elephant! Did you know that Drunk Elephant is a clean brand at Sephora? The thought of now having clean hair and body products that actually work, really excited me! One of the perks of working with Sephora was that you get to try so many products. I truly miss working with my Sephora family. Drunk Elephant skin care was one of my favourite lines when I worked there. Besides the fact that it is a clean brand, it actually works!

So, you are probably wondering what the new products are that I am going to review. First off, let’s start with the scalp scrub. This is to be used before the shower and you leave it on for 10 minutes. It is an exfoliator for the scalp. It will help remove any build up in the hair and therefore provides fullness and volume.

Next is the shampoo and conditioner. I must say every time I use them my hair has a sheen to it like no other. Your hair will look healthy and shiny after using them.

Are you a huge fan of the almond oil smell? I must admit, it's not my favourite. When I first smelled all of the products, I was not overly impressed. However, in saying that, it is a VERY mild smell and once I actually used the products, I really didn’t even notice a smell. The body wash was very nourishing to the skin and provided a great lather. The body cream was also very nourishing and I did not need to reapply moisture throughout the day. I have dry skin, so this is a big deal for me. You don’t need a lot of product…a little goes a long way. I would say this about all of their products.

After the shower, I sprayed the detangler on my hair. Then used the wide tooth comb to brush it through. I love the fact that this detangler does double duty. It detangles and conditions, as well as provides heat protection. I have found that this is a game changer when it comes to keeping healthy hair. Especially if you are someone like me, where my hair gets damaged and breaks very easily.

I also tried out the deodorant and to my pleasant surprise I found it actually worked on me. I have yet to try it before I go to the gym, however just for day to day wear its great!

All in all, I would definitely buy these products again. All of the hair products are designed to prevent any hair buildup. They are colour safe. As I mentioned above, they are clean at Sephora, meaning there are no yucky ingredients. I would say they are priced very fairly for the quality of products that they are. All of the hair products were co-created by famous hairstylist Chris McMillan. And one other note to mention is that the containers are recyclable!
