How to change up your Summer to Fall makeup Routine

Are you still wearing the same colours from the Summer? Too be honest, I just very recently switched up my makeup routine as I did not want to let go of Summer. We had such a beautiful September and beginning of October and we have just started to get the cooler temperatures now. Therefore I was inspired to share some quick tips on how to transition your Summer makeup routine to Fall.

Please note these are just suggestions. I really believe there are no "rules" to makeup however it is fun to try different makeup looks especially with the changing seasons. Also, you don't need to do ALL of these. Even just doing one or two will change up your look!

One of the biggest changes you can do for Fall is to switch out your lipstick colour. Now is the time to swop the clear gloss and add some colour to your lips! I love more plum colours for Fall. You can also stick to more matte colours as opposed to glossy ones. You can definitely get away with a nude matte lip if the plums scare you.

Fall is a great time to switch out your bb cream or tinted moisturizer for an actual foundation. It doesn’t have to be a heavy foundation, however when your skin isn’t naturally glowing from a tan, it looks nicer with a little more coverage. Try to stay away from the super bronzy look and contour with cooler colours instead. Another quick way to update your Fall look could be to pick a more pinky or plum blush as opposed to a bronzy or peach tone. Matte eyeshadows are on trend at the moment and an easy way to switch things up as well. Plums, or bronze shades with a touch of red tones are all beautiful eyeshadow colours for Fall.

One more thing we can't forget is to take extra care in moisturizing our skin. With the cooler temps, it often needs a little more TLC than normal. You can start to exfoliate an extra time per week or even add a moisturizing mask. You can also add a face oil to your routine. An excellent face oil that I love is the Marula oil by Drunk Elephant or the Re-water age defying face oil by Seacret.

Comment below if you try any of these Fall makeup tips! Id love to see your looks.
